Oxford Weekend
May 12th and 13th, 2007, saw the first weekend away for 12 members of Project:Dance! The new Project:Dancemobile went well, and we got to Oxford safely. We first went to The Trout at Wolvercote, a pub famously used by Inspector Morse! We had a great lunch and then checked into our hotel.
We had an afternoon visit to Sandford Lock, before getting ready to go the Ball run by Dance Rhythms. The students were very brave, and danced most of the evening. The demonstration was given by British Number 1/World Number 2 Professional Ballroom couple Timothy Howson and Joanne Bolton. The style, length of stride and grace were all inspirational and the students all know now what to aim for!
On the Sunday a fab breakfast was enjoyed before a trip into the city centre, where a trip up Carfax Tower and a visit to the Oxford Story were great fun.
We went to the newly opened Jail and Castle centre for lunch, before heading off home.
Watch this space for the next trip....!
